2026/2027 Membership Details

Exhibitor Eligibility

Exhibitors 21 years old and under as of January 1, 2026 can be a member of the circuit.

Open to residents from all states.

Circuit Membership Fee

Circuit membership is $35/exhibitor.

Each exhibitor will receive:

An exclusive membership T-shirt
An additional prize (goodie bag).

Exhibitors will collect points for how well they do circuit categories and top placing exhibitors will be awarded.

Areas Of Competition

Showmanship
- Top 5 of 6 opportunities will be counted towards an exhibitor's overall score
Market/Breeding
- The 2 highest placing pigs for each exhibitor will be counted. The 7 highest scoring weekends for each exhibitor will be counted towards their overall score.
Skill-a-thon
- This is an age-based test that asks questions for overall knowledge about swine. Questions can include, but are not limited to: breeds, feeds, quality assurance, ear notching, breeding and pedigree information and meats.
Judging Contest
- This contest is an opportunity for exhibitors to try their hand at judging.
- Two classes for exhibitors to judge: typically one breeding and one market class. Exhibitors are required to answer up to 5 questions per class and will also place each class.

Age Divisions

Peewee: 4 and under

Novice: 5-8

Junior: 9-12

Intermediate: 13-16

Senior 17-21

Points System

Exhibitors will take their top 5 showmanships to their overall point total. (There will be 6 showmanship opportunities).

Points will be awarded for each participation and placing in showmanship at each show. Extra points are NOT given for division or overall showmanship champions.
- 1st place = 20 points, 2nd place = 18 points, 3rd place = 16 points, 4th place = 14 points, 5th place = 12 points, Participation = 8 points

Exhibitors will take their top 7 shows to their overall point total. Exhibitors will earn points for their top 2 placing animals (regardless of breeding or market) each show. (There will be 10 shows for the 2026-2027 winter season.)

Points will be awarded for an exhibitor’s 2 highest placing hogs (either market or breeding) at each show. If hogs do not place, participation points will be awarded. Extra points are NOT given for breed, division or overall champions.
- 1st place = 20 points, 2nd place = 18 points, 3rd place = 16 points, 4th place = 14 points, 5th place = 12 points, Participation = 8 points
  - Example: An exhibitor shows 3 pigs during one show. Pigs place 1st, 3rd and 4th in their respective classes. Exhibitor will keep points for their 1st and 3rd place pig.

Exhibitors will be required to participate in skill-a-thon in order to be eligible for overall circuit awards.

Points will be awarded for an exhibitor’s participation and score in the skill-a-thon. Tie-breakers will be used in case of a tie.

Exhibitors will have the opportunity to participate in the judging contest.

Points will be awarded for an exhibitor’s participation and score in the judging contest.

Show Rules

Registration for Each Show

Registration will be ONLINE through the Showman App for each show.

Showmanship = Free

Mkt./Breeding Pre-entry = $30/entry

Mkt./Breeding Late-entry = $50/entry

Showmanship

Any exhibitor, regardless of being a circuit member, can participate in showmanship.

Exhibitors are required to show by themselves in showmanship and will be placed in the divisions as listed above for the larger circuit.

Breeding Show

The breeding division will be split between purebreds, pure influence and cross gilts.

No bottom weight limit or top weight limit.
No age requirements.

Breeds will show separate from crosses. All breeds will have a class – there will be no AOB classes.
NEW FOR 2027 - Purebred Influence Breeding Gilt division. Crosscheck or Breed registration papers (for those that don't meet purebred breed eligibility) required.
Class premiums to be determined based on number of head shown in each class.
Breed champions will be awarded.

Top 5 Breeding Gilt will be selected at the conclusion of all classes / breed champion selections.

Check-in for Each Show

Exhibitors will need to check-in each pig and exhibitor for each show.

Registration papers are REQUIRED. Breed characteristics and papers will be checked.

Out of state exhibitors are REQUIRED to provide health certificates.

Market Show

The market division will be split between by purebreds, pure influence, cross barrows and cross gilts.

No bottom weight limit.
Top weight limit for market hogs is 300 pounds.
Breeds will show separate from crosses. All breeds will have a class – there will be no AOB classes.
NEW FOR 2027 - Purebred gilts may show in the market show in their respective breed class. Must follow market weights.
NEW FOR 2027 - Purebred Influence Market Hog division. Crosscheck or Breed registration papers (for those that don't meet purebred breed eligibility) required.
Class premiums to be determined based on number of head shown in each class.
Breed champions will be awarded.
Top 5 Market Hog will be selected at the conclusion of all classes / breed champion selections.
